CNAP 2025 Recruitment: The number of positions is out!

An email was sent out today to the SF2A email newsletter, announcing the open positions for CNAP astronomers and adjoint astronomers for this year’s concours!

The CNAP concours will open in mid-December 2024, with the exact date depending on the publication of the ministerial order. The positions that will be available this year:

• 2 astronomer positions
• 1 astronomer position likely to become vacant
• 2 vacant adjoint astronomer positions
• 3 adjoint astronomer positions likely to become vacant

The three potentially vacant positions for adjoint astronomers, in addition to the two confirmed vacancies, are due to the possibility of two current adjoint astronomers being promoted to full astronomer positions. This would open up their roles, along with an additional position becoming available if a third full astronomer position becomes vacant.

The application deadline is expected to be at the end of January. If you are interested in one of these positions, now is the time to start preparing your application!
