CNAP 2026 finally open
The CNAP concours 2026 is finally open!
While it seems hard to believe, the 2026 CNAP concours is finally open! The call for applications was published on the CNAP website with an official concours opening of 4 March 2026. The deadline for submission is set for 3 April 2026, at 16h CEST.
This year, there are a total of 7 positions available for the position of associate astronomer!
You can find all the details about this year’s CNAP concours on their website: https://cnap.obspm.fr/CNAP-Recrutement/concours.html
…with a massively delayed timeline…
As you all have undoubtedly noticed, the CNAP concours opened waaaaaay after its usual schedule. This has everything to do with the fact that it took some time, and quite some force, to vote the national budget for 2026. Since this has been a repeating occurrence in the last couple of years, we intend to explain a bit of what’s happening in the background in a much more extensive article very, very soon.
For now, we just want to say that the CNAP concours is open, and that you have a little less than one month to submit your application over the online interface. Good luck to everyone!
